ABOUT Nicholle Rae

Nicholle Rae’s heart is in Country Music, so for the 21-year-old Texan, getting to perform anywhere in the Historical Fort Worth Stockyard is a fairy tale come true. “When I am on stage I‘m excited remembering the Country Musicians who have been on the exact stage I am standing on now!”

Nicholle Rae, describes her music as fun while at the same time signifying deep meaning. “Country Music is about stories. Some of those stories can be meaningful and still be fun. My music will always reflect who I am.” Nicholle Rae’s biggest influence comes from fellow Texan, Miranda Lambert, “I admire her energy on stage and her songwriting skills.” In addition to Miranda Lambert, her influences include Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Nettles, Gretchen Wilson and another Texan, Kacey Musgraves.

“You can be a performer and not be an artist, but I am an artist. I am not only honing my songwriting skills and guitar playing, but I am also developing my total package including my image and my stage presence. Nicholle Rae works daily to improve herself, “This isn’t just a dream of mine, this is a goal that I am determined to achieve and I won’t give up.”

Nicholle Rae is no stranger to the stage. “I feel at home on stage, so every stage I step foot on becomes my home during that performance.” Besides the Fort Worth Stockards, Nicholle Rae has had the opportunity to perform in a variety of places, including JGilligan’s, Cooper’s BBQ, Back Forty Smokehouse, South Street Patio and the opening for the Brandon Steadman Band CD release party. “I sing all the time, so wherever I am is my stage. I’ve even been known to sing in the aisles at Wal-Mart and at the dinner table!” Nicholle Rae laughs. “My friends have always told me I live in a musical

It is Nicholle Rae’s hope that her music will provide a new means for her to give back to her community. “I would like to give back to my Church and School, it's important for me to never forget all the Teachers who've given me high standards of study, character, and service," she says.  In addition, she wants to give back to other charitable organizations close to her heart, such as Special Olympics and the Relay for Life/Cancer Society. She loves dogs; she has three of her own. “I plan to open a shelter in my hometown that will provide a loving and safe home for dogs until we find each one a forever home.”

Nicholle Rae has plans to perform on bigger stages. “I would love to box up all my stuff right this second and move to Nashville tonight, but I still have to finish College (where she is studying to be a Special Education Teacher). That’s pretty important!” Nicholle Rae also knows that, with God on her side, anything is possible for her to achieve her goals and make her dreams come true. “Everyone has dreams and goals,” she states. “I am just going for mine to the extreme!”
